Greener on the Other Side is an edited image containing multiple properties built within layers in order to create a desired composition that reveals a prevailing theme through ought its elements. The narrative within my image is a stylized recreation of my personal experience crossing the border from Mexico to the United States during President Trump’s time in office. An attempt to visualize the change he brought upon the Mexican side of the wall, an attempt to emphasize the differences between both sides. I used multiple images of found objects and scenery in order to compose a sight that not many get to see, a Mexican perspective looking at the greener side of the wall. The setting is based on images I took of my hometown in both countries, scaled and transformed in order to contrast American infrastructure against the Mexican countryside, strengthening the difference between the two.
