Harmony I is a sonic collage inspired by Andrzej Panufnik’s Universal Prayer, it is a culmination of sound and pattern. In order to achieve the ambient atmosphere, I desired, I visited my community’s church and recorded sounds based on specific time frames. I recorded at intervals of 15 minutes for approximately 10 seconds each time during two sessions in order to achieve a sense of harmony through the pattern of found sounds. I imported each recorded sound using Premier Pro, arranging and editing each melody based on its time interval in order to render music through pattern. An artwork exploring the limits of sound, it is truly through exploration alone that I was able to achieve an atmosphere deemed of prayer without regards of religion or affiliation
