Digital Drawing
Unexpected View is a digital drawing displaying perspective from various angles and unexpected views. As designed, the composition of my work is meant to draw the viewers gaze towards the lower left corner of the image and end at the upper right corner. The viewer is greeted by the disproportionate perspective of the cliff, holding an enormous tower in comparison to the tiny village below. As the viewer follows the shape of the cliff, the dark outline of a child can be seen towering above the trees, emphasizing the disproportion between the two and establishing a consistent theme within my piece. The child serves as a guide for the viewer to follow deeper within the image, his hand reaches towards the sky but instead of being greeted by clouds, the viewer is greeted by bird’s eye view of the city along with a twisted and distorted latter that seems to recede towards the center of the image. An image composed of scale, proportion, focus and distortion
